Lock trolley wheels
I am making a kitchen trolley with a cutting board top, it will be quite heavy. I want to use lockable trolley wheels, Miter 10 has them in 100mm.I want 75mm or less diameter, I will be in Canberra soon and will try Bunnings but don't hold much hope there. So has anyone procured this type of wheel that I am seeking.
thanks

Les, I bought Fallshaw castors from these guys: http://www.castorsandindustrial.com....s_general.html
Very good service and prompt delivery. Recommended. They have what you want. Look under K series. They're available in 75mm.
Best thing is to ring them and tell them what you're after, they will help you choose from the range."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

Bunnings at booval have 3" and 2" castor wheels and I'm pretty sure there are locking ones in 3" at least.
There is a place on ebay that sell cheap castors, cheapest I've seen. Mega cheap hardware I think.
Are castors what your after or something else ?I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

Les
I usually buy good quality heavy duty castors from one or other of the bearing shops in Fyshwick Capital Bearings or CBC
They have the ones that lock not only the wheel but the swivel as well.

Bunnings have these but if you want quality and Australian made get Fallshaw. Most bearing supply houses stock them or will get them for you.
