    Default logosol wood kiln

    Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone here has used or had any experience with the Logosol Sauno Wood Kiln VT3, 2kW?

If so what are your thoughts?

    Thanks

    Joel

I've done some digging sometime ago and there was one forum user who bought one and then sold it to a bigger unit.

how the insulation is built is the key.

I am very tempted but I dont have the quantity to justify the spend.

Short answer is no, there are industrial kiln supplier who supplies larger kiln but they are massive kilns, there are occasional 2nd hand smaller kiln available from time to time on machines4u if you are in Australia. The Logosol seems to be the only option for the professional hobbyist.

If you haven't already, and not in as much of a rush for a load of timber, a solar kiln could be another possible solution. I've been tempted to build one but i've been too busy with commissions.

Google Virginia Tech solar kiln. Its a small kiln of proven design that could be scaled down if required.

Just zap small stuff dry in a microwave. (No, not joking, all a state of the art RF kiln is, is a bloody great microwave)
