    Default Low Cost Kreg

Guys, for those of you who only want to make the odd few pocket holes here is an option where you only purchase the Kreg Mini Jig Kit for $38 and an optional plunge clamp, as an ordinary clamp will also work for most clamping options.
One can use any timber but the 16mm MDF for the 2 separate front pieces work well as the jig is 16mm thick. The back support is desirable if the back piece is MDF. When gluing the from pieces just butt up the pieces against the jig for a snug fit.
I have had the old Kreg K2000 for 13 years now and made one up like this for a mate of mine.
I know not everyone likes the pocket hole system, but it does have it's place (says he who also own a Domino).
    For what it is worth.
    Les

    Thanks Les.
Have a few workshop cabinets to build and was thinking the Kreg jig would be perfect fir this. But of coarse didn't want to fork out $200. Then seen your post. Brilliant idea and works great. Even incorporated dust extraction.
