Magnets
Wondering if anyone has used small magnets for knife boards and where they have sourced them?
Any feedback and suggestions please

I have not used these folks personally, but have seen them referred to several times around here, and in such good repute that they made my list of "Suppliers to deal with": https://aussiemagnets.com.au/
I have a section of my bookmarks dedicated to places I come across that have been recommended by others, and whom I think I will want/need one day

All neodymium magnets come from China. You might as well buy the cheapest one directly from eBay or Aliexpress.

Be aware that there are different strengths in REMS. Always ask them to specify which strength they are selling.
Have a look through here.

I've used Aussie Magnets twice, the last time was last week.
Pretty good service, both times delivery was via a courier via Australia Post, which may be due to magnets through the normal postal system being an issue.
Regardless, their range is excellent, I emailed with a problem of which magnet to do a certain job and was directed to the appropriate magnets on their website within hours.
Mick.
Ps: they operate out of Melbourne.

I've purchased Neodynium magnets from AMF Magnetics (https://magnet.com.au/). Decent prices, quick delivery, no complaints.

I bought a couple of packets of 8mm round magnets 10 to a packet cost about $2.75 per packet from our local newsagent which has a craft section. These were sourced from Portacraft.com.au
according to the label on the packet (s).Johnno

I don't buy a lot online but when I do it is usually cheapy stuff like this from China on the Bay that are either unobtainium locally or 2xX times the price from local sources. I've had 2 lots never arrive. One was magnets (probably stuck to a shipping container somewhere on the high seas) and a silicon fridge monkey. In both instances the Chinese vendor cheerfully refunded the purchase. The fridge monkey did eventually arrived a couple of months later and when I corresponded with the supplier something was lost in translation. I repaid the original purchase price that had been refunded, but another set arrive a couple of weeks later for my 'new purchase'.

I have dealt with this company in the past and been very pleased.

However recent surfing of similar products does seem to indicate, as others have said, that the same products are available through China for much less money. A lot is going to depend on how quickly you want the goods and what level of reliability you are chasing.

I got a stack of the counter sunk ones from EBay for 5/8 of BA about a year ago. Still going strong.
