[MEL] Recommendations for Edge Banding Services
Hi all,
Looking to build some kitchen carcasses and was wondering if anyone has used anyone who provided edge banding services in Melbourne. Cheapest I can find is $3 per edge.
I seem to be getting a lot of 'cabinet makers' who are just showrooms and don't actually do any work or don't want to deal with non-commercial quantities.
Cheers,
Nick

$3 per edge seems reasonable to me, taking into account set up time etc. for a one off job otherwise do it yourself, it is not that difficult

Thanks for your offensive reply. I am aware of iron-on edging but you cannot get 1-2mm ABS edging that is iron-on.
A lot of other businesses list themselves as Kitchen Showrooms or otherwise and not cabinet makers. Quite a few seems to middle men who import out of China and don't do any work locally, which is half my issue.
At no point did I assume or insinuate that I was expecting a free service, I just wanted to get an idea of how or where other DIY'ers get their work done (and people they have good experience with) and what is considered a reasonable price to pay.

The reply was not offensive, it was simply explaining the facts of life, as for DIY not to many "DIY'ers" get their work done, stands for Do it yourself
