Removing DW745 Miter Gauge's play and making it square (temporarily with duct tape)

setting up the v120
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYIxSFvAOQA
Setting up the v120 is ridiculously hard.
The allen head screws are so tiny and shallow and super hard to turn.
I had to use vice grips to to grip and turn the screw.
Its so hard to turn I'm afraid of either breaking the wrench or stripping out the head.
Man! I don't need this stress.Thanks,

LOL.
Yes, It is.
One angle at a time.
Love how sharp you are Ian.
The plan is to make the wedges to fit my cross cut sled.

I think I posted some photos of a suitable wedge in your other thread.
I don't think I told you but those wedges were made entirely with hand tools. I just marked the angles needed on the end using a bevel gauge and pencil and then shaped the wood with a hand plane.
save yourself some dosh.regards from Alberta, Canada

Yes you did Ian, much appreciated.
I'm after 72° and 54° for a 5 pointed star I've already made.
10 pieces exactly the same to keep it simple.
Made out of a fence paling. So super cheap.
But didn't fit together perfectly.
The wedge angle is the angle you want to remove.
What is left is what you want to use.
I'm sure I read that here.
I wouldn't mind paying a bit of cash for the perfect CNC'd wedges. Thanks,

The link to the angle box is:
Wixey.com - Digital Angle Gauges
As for the angles and stuff:
I was thinking 50 segments of a bowl or 100 cuts. 360° in a circle and 3.6° off of the center of each wedge.
Obviously the project is not a bowl. LOL! I definitely would try the sled on the table saw before I spent $130 for the set up tool.
Anyway good luck with your project.

Re the inclinometer
How accurate is a digital inclinometer
BTW I have both of the items you have linked to but different brands. Both seem to work well for both woodworking and mechanical.
