Model wheels
Hello all,
Would anyone know where I can obtain a selection of model wheels in Australia? I'm about to resume model truck making for Grandkids christmas presents and can't remember where I bought the last lot of wheels. They were plastic ones but I'd really like to get my hands on some rubber-tyres wheels.
Cheers,
Keith

I have run into the same problem. I suspect that it may be necessary to purchase fron the UK. I guess Australia just isn't a big enough market.
If we learn by our mistakes, I have had a wonderful education!

I make my own to fit on model WWI aircraft.
A brass tube for the bearing with a circle of balsa sandwiched between two ply disks. Add a smaller wooden washer and the jobs almost done. I add a card cone to simulate the canvas cover and either use an 'O' ring, a Hoover drive belt from their vacuum cleaner or some lightweight rubber round glued with superglue to make an 'O' ring.

I like your plane wheels by the way. Very realistic.

I've already bought some from them. They have a very realistic plastic truck wheel in 65mm & 100mm sizes.
