Moulded plywood seat and back “blank”?
Hi all;
I’d like to get a couple of molded plywood seat and back pieces (blanks?).
You remember the old style stackable chairs that had molded plywood seats and backs on steel legs – used frequently in schools, churches, and halls, etc.
The plywood seats had a curved front edge to ease the pressure on your legs. The plywood back was concave somewhat to make the chair more comfortable.
I don’t want/need the legs, just the seat and the back (two of each).
I’ve checked around locally for a used set and I’m not having any luck. Ebay hasn’t helped either. I’ve done a search on the Internet and can find new chairs but really the price is prohibitive.
Ideally, I’d like to find a woodworking supply shop that has unfinished molded plywood blanks.
Can anyone help?
Thanks, Norm
