File a patent if you think idea is really genuine so that no one can copy. A reasonable lawyer can be found on freelancing sites like upwork. There might be some intellectual property lawyer who could work for deferred fees. If that does not work, offshore non attorney patent expert can file the patent for a cheap price.
Draft NDA , and have a carpenter prototype it. Pitch the idea with prototype to potential VC's, if you get funding you can scale and be all set.

One thing I should have mentioned in the first place before jumping the gun, is there a demand for the product you are creating ? One way to test this is by reaching out few anonymous people and checking with them if they have the problem for which you are providing solution/ would they want to buy the product you are creating .
