Sanding finish is a personal taste thing, for outside I would suggest 240 is probably ok, but I have used up to 1200.

Yes, but ensure cracks in slab underside are sealed with a filler or something as it will run through even the smallest cracks

No. You can get satin/flat finishes, like deck finishes, that would better suit your needs.

No. Casting resin fills the cracks but has very poor adhesion properties. Casting Epoxy would be better for outside applications. For large cracks, I would use cross ties of some sort, timber bow-ties or some other type. I use brass bolts with clear resin as below

Forgot to mention, from those photographs, they look more like sap veins than cracks. For outside, you could use Clear Casting Epoxy, or mix in some black pigment looks good. Again seal the underside first, even casting epoxy seeps through those quickly, epoxy mixed into a paste with black concrete colouring or sawdust would do.

So if I were to:

• Fill the large voids with the Diggers Castable ( I have a couple of tins from bunnings - I can take them back and buy this - http://aldaxstore.com.au/c/147731/1/...oxy-resin.html or similar?),
• Sand the whole table to 240 (ish), apply Aquadeck (or similar?),
• I ran a wire brush over the veins to remove the splinters from sanding - Is there anything else i can/should have done to the veins if not to be filled (or should they be filled with epoxy too?)

it should hold up relatively well? assuming a re-coat every 12 ish months? I can live with the sap veins not being filled - will add some character I recon! (and not large enough to tipple a glass/stubbie over).....

Yes I would use the epoxy one

Sounds good to me, as long as it is a for outside product

I would fill them also with the epoxy as the edges can be sharp and little fingers can get jammed or splintered. If you keep it clear they can still be seen.
