    Default Another Great Overseas Supplier

Late last month (25/11), I placed an Internet order for the first time with Dick Fine Tools in Germany. http://urlzip.org/Dick

I've always been impressed with the fine range of hand tools this supplier has on offer. Now I am equally impressed with their delivery service. The item arrived today in the mail.

Isn't it amazing how an overseas supplier can provide a half decent delivery time, yet some local suppliers seem to struggle with it:confused:

    Thanks for the info DPB.
    Cheers.

    Vernon.

I have always had good dealings through them & now is also a good time to deal as the Oz $ is good.
Though the Euro is also quite strong and one needs to do their homework on tool prices.

Dick gives good service and as stated prompt delivery.has a good range of hand tools and readily sourced.

    Cheers

Thanks Don. I've drooled over their catalogue from time to time. Wrote once with a question about some chisels and reply was prompt. Never ended up buying them, got them locally for a good price, but one day I'm going to force them to take some of my money.

Agree with that actually. Stewmac {guitar parts] in the states supplies product sometimes in 4 to 5 days door to door. IE order real early saturday [friday in the states] and you can have it by the following wed / thurs. On the other hand you can buy stuff on the other side of town and might not arrive for 2 weeks.

It is a lot less competitive here than in the US. If you miss by a minute 6 other dudes are there ready for your dough. Here many busineses dont care that much about customer service.
