    just a quick question about P+N
    are they still an australian owned company ?
    from experience they make good quality drill bits and the like so am about to purchase some of their lathe tools and was just curious about the parentage ?????????

    I know Boral bought them & cyclone about 10 years ago, don't know if they still own them, adead giveaway is if they're still in green & gold (Boral colours)

    I agree with David. I have several P&N turning chisels, and whilst they might not be as bright and shiny as some of the imported ones they certainly work, and wear as well as any. Buy Australian!
    (I hope they are still here and have not 'outsourced' their manufacturing to China.)

    Hi!

    Anyone read the latest edition of "Fine Woodworking"? (my copy arrived today). In that there is a review of brad-point bits (available in the U.S. market, but included a couple from China).

    Not very surprisingly, the best score was achieved by bits from Lee Valley. Mid price too.

    BTW: the "Federal" table in the mag is just gorgeous...

    Sprog.........Power Tools and Machinery in Bayswater sell P&N turning tools. They don't stock a lot but will get them in.
    Might be just as easy getting them from Carrols Woodcraft supplies.
