Yep always found English a dead useless subject, couldn't get my head around things like dangling meatphores and conjunctive nouns. Wood work class was infinity more interesting.

    They are having a spell?
Do you mean they are coming back?
    Shouldn't we be telling someone?

The deadest of all languages is Latin. I absolutely hated it, but the Nuns insisted it be pursued.

My favourite verse in Latin language class was:

Latin is a dead language, as dead as dead can be,
it killed the poor old Romans, and now it's killing me

Did it willingly for 5 years at High School but in retrospect did not serve much purpose.

Old surveyor's trick: if you can't calc it, draw it. If you can't draw it, calc it.
