    Wurth makes twin-start screws that aren't threaded all the way. Not cheap though

    It was for those reasons that I set up this drawer full of screws some years back. What you can see is more or less what I use fairly regularly, and all the old Philips head and other stuff is at the back of the drawer.

    Mind you, buying Robertson screws these days can be "challenging", shall we say.

    We did a big Ironbark cladding job and put over 10,000 of those Wurth twin starts in. They are a nice product

    The thing I like most about them is that they seem to be thinner than many other screws of the same length (at least up to and including 50mm), so you can often get away without pre-drilling and they still won't split
