A mate gave me some pine slabs that he once used as a kids computer table, kids are all grown now so it was sitting in pieces in his garage gathering engine oil stains and showing signs of splitting.
The legs are about 50 - 60 mm thick and the top's around 75 x 350 x 1700

Apparently it was cut from some big old pine in someones backyard in Brizzie. If it's possible to identify the type of pine I'd be interested because this stuff is really dense and heavy, certainly better than Bunnys "select grade".
I was thinking it would make a great seating bench with through mortises, but sadly I don't have any space for such a piece.

Any suggestions what other purpose it might be put to? Or should I leave it on the wood rack until a space opens up?

Cheers
