    Default Planting Trees in NZ

I don't know where else to put this but I found this story interesting about one man planting 7000 trees.

Fantastic legacy = an arboretum. All very carefully catalogued which doubles the value.
Time well wasted to visit such places.

The collection is essentially useless unless the provenance of the specimens is kept.
All of my PhD research plants came from the Royal Botanic Garden in Melbourne.
The beer came from the Botanic pub, across the road.

Some 15? years later, I was able to return and walked my children through the RBG.
