Port Macquarie visitors.....Sawdust maker
Sawdust Maker......Port Macquarie.......over Christmas 2010-11
Those heading north are welcome to visit Mal or myself on holidays at Rollands Plains. (30km nw Port)
Not much turning, but a good sawmill to play with.
Call 65 858296 to make sure we'll be there
We may have something going next October, depends on the dancing girls Wheelin can organise.

Greg I have moved your post to a thread of your own, as it will get more attention by itself and it is a bit rude to do so in someone else's thread.
Maybe you could elaborate a bit on what you have in mind, a play w/end for a few guys etc?? What type of stuff you might get up to.Cheers

Greg these ladies said they can make it.
They reckon all their hubbies are always away at some Turnfest in Victoria so any date is ok with them

October 2011
Thanks DJ.
Early thoughts about having an event at Rollands Plains long weekend October.
Sort of like the Kiama woodworkers show, but perhaps in the bush, 15 km off the Pacific highway.
Small but perfectly formed.
Not sure about the blues festival to go with it, but that could be added ..maybe......
Perhaps at Rollands Plains showground, combined with wood sales and perhaps a timber auction?
Perhaps at the farm?
Perhaps Tele Point Pub?
Local craft and wood stand displays and exhibitions? Tony? Wauchope woodturners?
Scribbly Gum?
Camping?
Drinking?
Milling.
Talks on timber types?
A Dan and CH and Wongo wood-chopping competition
(Could be held at Timber town I suppose, but that already has timber stuff and no sawmill and would get mixed up with tourists)
Just early thoughts to see if there is interest in a weekend and if so what we would like to do and see.
The Boutique Timbers web site has plenty of photos so that is a guide to the property.
Thoughts please.
Thanks
Greg

Greg spoke with others today and they like the idea also. Possible 3 clubs of course not all members. These 3 same clubs do Kiama.
Transport might suit some via train to Telegraph Point
Coach from Sydney could be arranged and possibly camping gear etc
Accommodation needs thought.
Toilets with access
Now its been a while but food at that Pub was great long time ago.
Sending e-mail.
