Default quick stand-in tool for pyrography

Hi. I need to do a simple job of pyrography - just burning some narrow lines. Its a one-off and doesnt justify the purchase of a woodburning set. Is there something else I can use for the job. I was thinking of a soldering iron with a reshaped tip, or maybe just a nail attached to a blowtorch, but maybe there is a better idea out there ....

    cheers

Narrow lines in a block of wood (rock maple). Mostly short and straight, say 15mm long. Some with shallw curves.

Ypu can get really cheap sets from Art craft riot for around $20.

Or maybe you could heat short bits of wire like a branding iron in a flame?

Just a prod to the thought process, it's not called poker work for nothing.
