Raking light options
Wouldnt mind getting something cheap for raking light when sanding/oiling. Looked at some bunnings lights and they seem over priced for what they are. googled LED work lights and these popped up:

Thoughts on using these sorts of lights? I have a spare tripod I can mount it on for use then pack away when not in use. How would you power a 12v LED light?
Any other ideas for some cheap, bright and directional light?

Cheap desk lamp (the gooseneck style) with an LED bulb.
Car accessories are meant to be powered off a car battery and will likely come with loose wires that need to be lugged and wired in to a battery or AC/DC adaptor - would be easier to get a desk/task lamp or one of the portable work lamps that use batteries from whatever brand cordless power tools you have.

I've been using an earlier 30 watt version of one of these for years as a raking light for plaster repairs and it works fine in that application.
