i'm not looking for such material but I see a fair bit on gumtree and market place.

Not in Brisbane, but I do use a lot of salvaged timbers. My sources are:

• Tip shop,
• Weekly general auctions,
• Friends and neighbours,
• Old furniture - op shops and auction,
• Council hard rubbish days,
• Salvage yards,
• Gumtree - but too many think their junk is five star !
