    Default Record 52 1/2 vice parts

    Hello, couldnt decide if a vice is a hand tool or general post. so ended up here.
    I have bought a couple of old Record vices. 52 1/2. one of them is missing a collar or bracket that holdes the releaseing tongue to the half nut.
    I cant find anything searching for record vice parts or similar.
    any ideas where I might find such a part?
    Its a kind of U bracket and two bolts as seen in these two pics i found online.

    I’d be making one, should be easy enough to fabricate.
    Irwin the US company bought Record about 20 years ago.
    But who now owns Irwin is anybodies guess.

    I remember going to the Sydney warehouse of Record after the take over and buying a stack of plane spares and accessories they were offloading.

    I did have the impression that Record had been manufacturing in India before the takeover but can’t back that up.

    Nah. Irwin is part of the Stanley Black & Decker conglomerate, along with deWalt.
