    Default redwood aquarium cabinet

I am intending to build a cabinet for a 170 litre (42 gallon) fish tank from (New Zealand grown) Californian Redwood, and am wondering if strength would be an issue. I would appreciate any comments, advice, etc.

Strength would be an issue, water weighs 10lb a gallon ( in the old money),as well as placement of the tank on the floor ,make sure wherever you place it that the floor can handle it.Plenty of plans available Google is your friend.

    That's right in the new money that's 1kg / 1 litre.

Vertical post every 450mm and use 90x45 ' s your frame and you'll be right.

    good luck
