Replacement cap for Titebond bottle.
G'day,
It was on the cards to happen soon, and yesterday when gluing up a church pew that had come adrift, my bottle of Titebond III's cap was glued closed and no effort would get it to open. The end result was that I ended tearing the cap so now when I do a squirt more glue escapes from the tear in the cap than comes out of the nipple (for want of a better word)
So, can you get new empty bottles for Titebond?
Am I chasing something that doesn't exist and that is the bane of glue users world wide?
Or should I chuck in the towel and buy a new bottle (there's about 20mL left in the bottle and about 3L left in the 4 gal container.

Usually when I'm finished [end of the day] - just unscrew the cap and give it a squirt with the hose - blow dry with the air hose and replace. Almost quicker to do than to type. Have also kept a few from empties just in case I drop a bottle on its cap and it needs to be replaced.

I keep empty sauce and mayo squeeze bottles. You can also buy bottles in $2 shops if you need to.

Soak the cap in hot water, this will loosen up enough for you to rinse out clean.

Not uncommon in thse parts to forget to close the cap and end up with a clogged top.
I never toss out the tops of Titebond glue bottles, I soak them in hot watter and when the glue turns to rubber like, I pick them clean and save them for suuch occasions. But as you have no storehose of used caps, I suggest buying a small bottle with the cap the same size as your's, Pour the contents into the old bottle capping off the container and then use the new cap as the seal for your older bottle. Remember to keep your cap clean and tidy in the future. and save the caps from now on...

I ended up in the cleaning section of Coles looking for a suitable replacement container for my glue and settled on this stuff (see pic) doesn't give the nice line of glue like the genuine article, but beggers can't be choosers.
