    Default Resaw help

Need to resaw a board 190mm high. Unfortunately my bandsaw only goes to 170mm.
Could cut halfway with tablesaw then by hand, but didn't plan ahead enough to leave enough thickness to do that.

Anyone in southwest Sydney area who can help out please.

    cheers
    shane

    G'Day Shane,
If no one local comes to your aid,
you could try Dean at Living Timbers at Penrith as he has just purchase a "resaw bandsaw" complete with an "automatic feeder"

cant take the cast iron table off and make a temporary thinner one out of ply or something to try and scrape in the 20mm?

Can't see how that would help, the kerf of the blade can't be altered.

Edit: I just got it. You're talking about the bandsaw, not the table saw.

My interpretation is that the kerf width is only an issue on the OP's table saw, and height on the bandsaw.

It’ll be a long distance call as Fletty’s in Scotland!

Shane, give me a call, you can borrow my 2mm kerf blade or do it here on either the TS or BS.

So the board is 190 wide but how thick is it and what do you need to get from it?

I had the same situation a few days ago where i had a 290 board that was to wide for the jointer so i ripped it in half 2 x 143 did the trimming and resewing then joined it back together.
