Round Cutting Board Help
I am making a round checkerboard patterned end grain cutting board. It is about 40cms in diameter and 9cms high, and am chasing ideas for handles / hand holds. I am open to any ideas people may have.
Thanks

Routered deep grooves on the side plus then the cutting board can be 2 sided

Thanks. Do you route this while the side are still square?

You can groove the entire thing, making it able to be picked up anywhere along it

I'm thinking a Diablo like this https://www.bunnings.com.au/diablo-1...e-bit_p6370456 run with board flat on table (2-3 passes to achieve full depth), then flipped (so bottom is now top) and done the other way, you'll just need ti be careful on the start/stop points. That way it will be uniform from both sides and the bearing will ensure uniform ultimate depth.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will post a picture once I have decided and finished. I am still in the glueing up stage at present.

Thanks for all your ideas. I ended up using a cove bit on the edge of the board, it was a bit thick for the other suggestions.
