    Default Router Table Ideas

I built myself a router table some years ago out of MDF and Laminex and an unused fence from a Triton but was never happt with it so use it only when I have to. Problem is if you dont use something much you dont get a feel for what you can do to improve design.
What I am after is photos plans or ideas on building a precision router table.
All I have so far it the idea of using a 1200 x 800 x 12mm sheet of Aluminimumand perhaps a fence of 100mm angle Aluminimum with a MDF sub Fence
    Bring on the Ideas guys.

Grunt has given you the best link you can imagine. We on this BB had a great time putting it together. So many creative ideas.

With regard to your materials (above), I would not recommend aluminium for a table top - stick with laminated MDF - but the Link does contain pics for a fence based on aluminium section with MDF subfences.

    Enjoy.

Because it would be (1) hard to find a truly flat surface, and (2) because it is likely to be too thick to fit the router without losing too much depth of cut. Ask Rocker about the one he had, and then got rid of! And whether he prefers laminated MDF or cast iron in a router table?!
