    Default SCMS jig

    Hey all,
I bought a Dewalt SCMS and would like some pointers to a good cut off jig.
    Ant thoughts?
    Cheers,
    Clinton

Not quite sure what you're after here, possibly I'm on the wrong track - but did you mean something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkOfRZB-2CQ&t=190s

    Oh, gotcha

Here's one I bookmarked for inspiration when I get around to building it (and before I came up with a new design in my head that I have yet to write out):

Part 1: Building The Top of the Miter Saw Work Station | The Down To Earth Woodworker
Part 2: Building the Base Units on a Miter Saw Work Station | The Down To Earth Woodworker

    Just a comment.
He's build a mitre Saw station, not a sliding compound mitre Saw station. If you purchases a SCMS using sliding rails, you will need a bench much deeper than his.
The other point is that any part of the saw hanging out into the workshop space is a PITA.

This is mine, been a ripper.

Locking wheels, dust extraction, same height as my bench, using a portable and height adjustable out feed table I can cut lengths up to 6m, can even wheel it outside.

Wheels from Aldi $10, big gulp dust chute under $20 (back then), flexible hose about $35; everything else from the nature strip.

    Mick.
