Screw Driver
Here is this mornings work.
Between, mowing and edging and cleaning and playing.
Gidgee and Aluminimum and the shank comes from Lee Valley.
this is a No. 1 i have a no. 2 and 3 to go.
these are great and a fun project.

Price of the lee valley screw drivers is not that much, worth throwing them in when you order something bigger.
Don't remember with out looking it up though.Steven Thomas

Finally did it....
Thanks for the heads-up, Steve. Been meaning to make a set of these for myself for years.
So I done it at last. Made my handles oval, to match my 'slot' drivers, & because I prefer this shape for woodwork. They are turned from some black wattle that grows on my property (& falls over regularly because of the grubs that love the green wood).The shanks look identical to the one in the plastic handle thing I've been using for years, & if they are the same, they should be good stuff. Part of the reason it took me so long to get around to making these is that the plasticky thing refuses to be chewed-up the way so many cheap Philips drivers do!
The #1 will get constant use - the 2 & 3 are likely to come out only occasionally, but at the price, you may as well hve the full set, I reckon.
