    Default My new shed (finally)

Have had this shed for a fair while and was just waiting for the house to be finished, council to approve the shed, wife to stop spending my money I had put aside for the slab...

Got the certificate of occupancy the other day though so all my gear is in. Still need to get power in there but the extention cord is working for now. Will change the layout a bit when I get the power and plan on building storage/bench at least down one side. Still a way to go but happy with the progress now.

I had a couple of sheets of iron left over when I added a couple of laserlight panels to the roof so I put up a small leanto on the side for some wood storage, happy with how this little project turned out and it gets a lot of gear out of my shed but still easy to access.

Nearly forgot to mention... its 6x9m (I know... too small)

Corbs, good looking shed. Is the lean to on the western side of the shed to help with insulation?

    Thanks team,
Pat, the side with the lean to gets morning sun so will help a little with insulation but the afternoon sun will hit the other side. The four citrus trees will be espaliated (sp?) on this wall using the four poles seen in the pic. This should assist with insulation on this wall when they get going and will make picking the fruit a breeze.

Harry, I plan on building in a bench down one side (maybe two) which will incorporate dust extraction and a mitre saw area. Storage will be built in above and below so there won't be a huge amount to line but I do plan on doing something with it. Had been thinking of lining the roof with 3mm mdf sheets and insulating between the roof & mdf?. I also have a ceiling fan which was supposed to go in a previous house but the roof was too low so may put it up in the shed too (with approval of course)

Corbs- great shed and the size I am about to add to my suburban block (can't go any bigger than 9m x 6m). Who did you by it from if you don't mind saying?

Thanks again all... Wendy I do need to get some security mesh on the windows but I was so excited to have it finished it moved down my priority list a little.

Bloss, I picked up the shed second hand but it was originally built by Fair Dinkum Sheds (Ricmatt Building Systems) in Mitchell. Its a good sized shed and should keep me happy for a while now.

Soredust, have a small mirror ball in the back of the car just to keep everyone on the DRN happy (DRN = Defence Restricted Network). Not sure when I will get it up though (no point without a focused beam on it.
