Slicing thin plank
Hi to all the gurus,
I need some help on slicing very thin plank. The actual dimensions of the plank I need to slice are: 0.5" (1/2inch) thick, 6 inches wide and 35 inches long.
I needed to slice out of the 1/2inch thick plank and get some 3mm thick boards. I don't have a resaw bandsaw and neither do I have any of those heavy workshop machines.
How should I proceed? Any comments/ suggestions are most welcome.

You could use a frame saw or I've also seen someone make a 'bench mounted frame saw' by putting a section of bandsaw blade on 3mm risers and pushing the wood against it.

No, I can't remember which forum I saw it on, sorry. Basically, it was a benchtop with risers attached to it to determine the depth of cut, a section of ripping bandsaw blade was then attached to the two risers and tensioned. Imagine a soccer goal where the top bar is a bit of bandsaw blade. The workpiece was held against the benchtop and pushed back and forth through the 'goal'.
