I would love to see your finished project - could you post a pic of the completed job?
Maybe topic in the forum for finished projects? Hum an idea?
What say ?

I had another look at the project and been the Novice that i am don't feel like i could pull it off just yet, so i will make a simple table to mount it on.
Maybe when i become a little more comfortable and have a little more faith in myself i will give it a go.

Hi John,
If the brilliant one Sandy posted a hyperlink to is too much.
Or the accurate one Cliff posted a hyperlink is still a little more time than you were thinking you wanted to spend of this project.
Here's a pic of the jig I sorted out in about a half hour. (Design and construction).
newserver: news-server.bigpond.net.au
newsgroup: alt.binaries.pictures.woodworking
Subject: portable compound mitre saw stand.gif
(Pic goes here as soon as I can get someone (Shane hopefully) to store it on the server and send me a hyperlink to it)

That bluehighway design is brilliant. Thanks for the link.
I have been wondering how to make better use of my thicknesser, and I have been thinking of a new router table, so why not kill two birds with one stone )
I've already mounted my SCMS on a lower cabinet between two elcheapo benches so I don't really need the saw function of that design, but heck it could still prove useful I suspect.
Cheers RayRay

Oh, Yeah!
THe BlueHighway one would be a dream come true.
I'm thinking it would take a month on Sundays to build.
I'd feel guilty about building something something so nice just for me and not for the family to use.
