    Default Sliding compound saw

    Hi all,

I saw a thread on here a couple of weeks ago where someone had built a bench for their sliding compound saw. The bench was made with the saw motor and sliding mechanism hiding in a box on the table, and the table was long with like a straight edge board on the back edge to make the cuts square. The table hight is made to meet the cutting base on the saw. All up it sort of acts like say the saw you'd see at bunnings, when you ask them to cut long pieces of wood down, like a radial arm saw. I've been looking on here all night for it and can't find it. I want to make one for my workshop and I'm wondering if anybody had seen the thread and can help me find it.

    Thanks everybody.

    Hi Garfield

Here is a post I made a couple of years ago of my SCMS table. The beauty of this one is that I can move it around.

I've made a few additions to it since. I put a shroud around the back to stop the dust which I connect the Dust Collector.

It has a stop to do repeat cuts.

I've also made a small table to sit on top to cut my pen blanks.
