Sliding Wardrobe Door System
Hi everyone.
I have had a couple of quotes to get a built in wardrobe done, thinking now that I might have a go at it myself.
I have done most of the reno's here myself, so think ive got the knowledge.
The only problem is i am after a supplier for the TRIPLE TRACK sliding door system, i cannot find anyone that does the triple, however both quotes I have had said they will use triple track.
This system allows access to 2/3rds of the wardrobe at a time, rather than half.
I do not want t ask the built in companies if they can sell me the sliding door system, as they might be annoyed considering they have done a quote for the whole wardrobe.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Adam

wardrobe doors
The tripple track does give you more opening size but do not forget you will loose juite a bit of your depth with an extra rowe of track and door.

I don't know anything about wardrobes (but will be doing the same as you within 12 months), but is it possible to use a double, then a single butted up against it?

Thanks for your help guys.
Jim the link you sent to ELRACO is the one I have been looking at.
It is only a double track system though, havn't seen anything similar but triple track have you?
Might just have to settle for double track, or hinged doors.
Thanks

Hi
On the site Jim sent link for it says in their description that they are tripple sliding set ups. The diagram they show is only a double, one might assume the picture is incorrect as the price is dearer than the double. It would be easy to sort by giving them a phone call.

I have just designed and had built a 5 sliding door built-in robe with two tracks. I supplied the internal cupboards and sliding shelves ( via a cabinet maker who installed them) and the spray painted doors and tracks, and a young builder installed it for me. He installed the bulkhead, the top internal shelf just under the bulkhead opening, and adjusted the doors in the tracks - a bit of experience required there, esp with the curvature of the concrete slab floor across the width of the room.
Full width is 4m, each door that I ordered locally is 820 x 2400 x 30, to suit the 2700 ceiling height. I don't understand the need for 3 tracks. I used the Cowdroy system, and it is great. The doors just glide along at the touch of a finger.
Layout is shown below, and I can fully access 1.6m of the cupboard at any time.
Hope this helps
Incidentally, the floor is bamboo tongue and groove boards laid on concrete slab, floating, not nailedregards,
Dengy
