    Default Small Parts storage bins

my appologies if I am in the wrong forum topic but I couldn't work out where the best fit was.

but my question is, does anyone know where in Oz I might find a supplier for small tilt style storage bins. (I wanted the tilt style to minimise the dust collection) They are for screws etc so they dont really need to be too big.

alternatively I have found something that I like at Rockler.com here but I am unsure of the issues with purchasing from the US. anyone had experience with them, any tips??

    cheers

    Dean

fischer plastics do a good range of tilt bin type storage drawers. made in aust.
They are good & solid but ain't dirt cheap. aren't real dear either.
Speak to a commercial storage supplier. If you have dificulty post me a message, I know where I can lay my hands on them.

Don't know mate.........but if you want to make one up yourself I new of a bloke who came accross a dozen or so muffin trays.......good for small parts......he just built a small wall hung cabinet to hold all the trays on rails so each tray was removeable.....and he said it was good because each muffin hole was shallow so he could easily get the small pieces out.....if you get my drift......and on front of cabinet he just had a door to keep dust out.........

might help ??? probably not.....sounds like you've got your heart set on those plastic things.......good luck.

I also had a similar issue with saw dust and other matter getting into screws and nails and I found these storage bins made by Stanley at Bunnies. The draws have dividers that can be set to different sizes and the top draws are shallower than the deeper bottom draws. The draws have a yellow clip at the top that locks the draw shut so nothing gets into them. They also have the added advantage of being wall mounted and can be taken off the wall and have a carry strap at the top to take them to the job site if required.

My experience and I have had these for around a year is they work.

From memory, they were around $30.00 each and were in the tool box section of my local bunnies.

    Hope this helps.

The Fischer ones are available at bunnings: the tilt bin ones are called VisiPak: http://www.fischerplastics.com.au/Pr...s/VisiPak.html

They should be easy to find as they keep them in bunnings next to the bright blue and yellow storage boxes also made by Fischer.
