    grrrr
for now just leave the doors off.

The client should see reason in a day or two

    Yes we discussed that.
Haven't gotten around to researching it yet.

is it too late to make them all sliding?
starting to sound really good now.

it would have to be hanging barn door type and not a rolling on the ground type.

    I agree with Ian.

Hasten slowly and the client may decide that doors are not necessary.

it would most likely mean adding face frames.

but then again, according to the client the project is about keeping you busy, not efficiency.

Three cabinet makers advise to stick to the doors and hinges.

Pretty much all agree its outside the norm.
    i.e. retrofitting

Hands starting to hurt again waiting for doors and hinges to arrive.

Got the top cut back to fit inside.

Then the wiring got a bit complicated.
AirTasker qualified electrician coming tomorrow to sort me out properly.

    LED light installed.
Electrician told me had just installed quite a few of these in a factory.
Said the mounting clips were crap and they ended up jelling them to the ceiling instead.
Also mentioned they looked nice and were bright.

OK the extra shelves and doors and hinges have arrived.
The delivery is so much nicer in the early morning instead of in the late afternoon.
    Really nice driver as well.

Got to measure, cut and install the edge supports for the shelves.

Then have to research now to mount the doors with system 87 holes
predrilled 87mm from the top and bottom and the other spaced out evenly
with a green cabinet template for the drill holes.
As always Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi Barry

I'm not seeing a drilling dimension of 87 mm.
Apart from the cup holes and securing screws, I'm seeing 32 mm as a standard drill spacing.
Can you point me to the 87 mm dimension?
    regards from Alberta, Canada

    Hi Ian,
Yes, you are correct. Its just the cup centres.
From the top and from the bottom.

The hinge holes for the plates are 37mm back from the edge.
    And 32mm apart.
    Thanks,
    Barry G. Sumpter

I made a test piece before having a go since I couldn't find a step by step procedure.
(Allboard did their best. i.e. not taking any ownership of the actual project. i.e. not being responsible for any misunderstanding nor mistakes etc. Just selling cabinet making products. etc.
But between NOT measuring nor talking about exact measurements and NOT providing any written reference material (just search the internet)
and really trying their best to give unpracticed verbal instructions.
(Then my paranoia, for a slip second, was telling me someone was trying to BS their way thru it.
Then remembering they have alway been super nice and helpful and freaking exact on their cuts.))

    I had zero confidence.

These hinges are much better than the ones they sold me 4 weeks ago.

Mounted the first hinge to a door.
Snapped the mounting plate into the hinge.
Then clamped a scrap piece to the plate.
    Marked the plate screw holes.
    IMG_1536.jpg

Tested the hinge cause I couldn't verify these were full reveal soft close. grrrr
    IMG_1537.jpg IMG_1538.jpg IMG_1539.jpg IMG_1540.jpg IMG_1541.jpg IMG_1542.jpg

Removed the scrap piece and made a legend for later referral.

Regretably, again Allboard trying to help as best they could and with what they were allowed to, gave me this to start with.
Frak! I just couldn't work it out before running a test.
    IMG_1549.jpgIMG_1548.jpg

Then the numbers started to jell.
32 37 87 (hard to see and upside down)
