Perhaps consider Hafele.
Their stuff is amazing. I received a shipment of over 4000 shelf pins in 5 different styles. The quality is first rate.

Hafele will sell to the Public, you just have to ask for a one off Retail sale, you don't get a trade discount.
But its handy if you don't have an ABN, which i currently don't anymore, as I've still got loads of Hafele products, its great to be able to restock.
All of Hafele is good quality.

This should make it easier to understand - https://davelers.com/32mm/Basics/fil..._system_32.pdf
As elanjacobs said, it's the industry standard in that virtually all hardware is designed to suit it. All drawer runners, concealed hinges etc fit that line boring pattern on the cabinet sides regardless of brand. But system 32 only defines the dimensions of the cabinet side panels, so height and depth conforms. Hettich is the easiest to follow.
It doesn't mean you have to use Hettich components. Pick what suits your budget. The main variation comes to hinges, while the standard defines the mounting plate on the cabinet, there's no standard for mounting the hinge to the door. The majority are 35mm cup, but the backspacing and position of the other mounting holes varies. The three common patterns are Blum, Hettich and Grass. Blum pattern is the most common and its easy to get a cheap plastic template so you can drill the three hinge holes in the right spot, so that's what I suggested. Hinge brands that use it include Hafele, Ferrari, Prestige and others. IKEA sell Blum pattern hinges, I think they may be made by Blum. Their price is ok. Avoid Bunnings because their prices are not.
Same goes for other hardware. The 5mm holes used in system 32 use euro screws. You'll need them for the drawer runners. Bunnings sell a pack of 20 for $5.70. The last box I bought from a cabinet supplier locally cost $18 for a box of a thousand screws. They're posi drive so make sure you have the right screwdriver or bit on hand.

Ok that clears up the system 32.
Much appreciated.
Remember having to wait 1hr and 45 mins the last time I went to Hafele.
I'll try to remember to just order first then wait for the call to actually go there to pickup.
Spent an hour round trip to get out of the house and had a look at allboard flatpack offers.
No appointment. Just rock up.
I swear we could have sorted me out in 10 mins for my simple and basic requirements.
given their restricted options and my understanding.
Should have known since no online design software nor flat pack prices on line.
But they spent that time telling me they weren't allowed to sort me out.
And that I had to sort myself out.
They showed me how to make a list. by hand, of their exact components in their format.
I would need to do it myself or get someone else to do it and pay them a premium.
But, once I figure out how to do it including all the ins and outs, drawer and door faces and handles
I feel I could just build it myself instead.
Didn't even get to the part of how to sort out the drawer and door faces.
Abandoning me to serve another customer.
LOL
So about ~$1000 for the 3 sets of 3 drawer carcases 900mm wide without drawer fronts.
And custom selected melamine cupboards with doors to fit on top of the drawer carcases.
So estimating without even knowing for sure, about $2000 all up.
======
So the pre-drilled melamine at bunnings 595 and 445 should be good to go.Thanks,

Barry, I'm a hobbyist unlike some of the other guys/gals here who cut and make melamine into nice boxes, appropriately edge-banded. I typically use 12mm Vic Ash harwood for cabinets in my house and elsewhere. Hard and durable. And it saves on a $40K edge bander. The last job I/we did for the house included 14 drawers using cheap $5 glides and banding in Vic ash. Total cost under $450, customised to fit behind sliding mirror doors.
I didn't bother to get a quote from anywhere. I used 10 sheets of HMR 16mm melamine, which cost me $34 delivered. Plus some Vic ash, some screws and some glides. For me, it doesn't matter how you do the sums, if you buy in bulk and do it yourself, you will be miles in front.
regards Jeff

Yeah. The lady is back from her first few days of her new job.
She reminds me that the plan was to keep me busy.
I had to be sure the price of flatpack drawers would be too expensive compared to doing it myself.
We've decided to go with the system 32 pre drilled single edge banded melamine particle boards for the sides.
in 595 and 445 widths.
Bunnings seems to be the only ones who stock it at the lowest price.
Might as well get the other single edge banded for shelves, tops and bottoms.
She's happy to have me install custom fitted drawers at a later date. Thanks,

Hi Barry
Agreed. Those powder powder coated runners, both side and "bottom", sold by BigChain really are crap and grossly overpriced.
However, there are some chinese made zinc coated full extension ball bearing side runners sold by both Blum and Hettich agents that are excellent quality and around $17 in small quantities. About $3 more for soft close. I have had zero problems in 6 years. Interestlingly, they are not on the agents websites.
They are similar, but not identical to these (appearance wise).

Thanks Graeme.
Any chance you have a model number on the exact ones you are posting about?
Otherwise, I'll just use hardwood runners. Thanks,

Im assuming here, but it sounds like they position the centreline of the hinges 87mm from the top and bottom edge of the door. With system 32 panels, the hole position on them determines where the hinge position on the door needs to be drilled, so if you plan on buying doors but make your own cabinets that will matter.
Tool-less pattern just refers to the drill size of the mounting holes, tool-less hinges have nylon bushes that expand against the mounting holes when you press down the locking flap. The two mounting holes either side of the hinge cup are drilled a larger diameter (8-10mm) for those hinges than the 5mm used for screw fix concealed hinges. Beats me why a flat pack firm would use them, they cost more and you need a screwdriver to adjust the hinge anyway.
