I am very happy with the Results from contractor table saw
I really need a full sled.

The plunge saw needs a better blade or better technique.
A stop block for scribing exactly on both sides.
A better focus on controlling the wobble

    The drop saw could suffice.
A stop block for scribing exactly on both sides.
A better focus on controlling the wobble as I push.
A sacrificial piece to raise the workpiece up enough for a 2mm scribe.
    Thanks,

AllBoard is still the best price.
~$1500 with white melamine for everything.

I've heard from two others with quotes.

One was $2500 with no options on the price.
Told me it was a lot of work.

The other was $3500 with a number of options.
They rang to follow up and asked me to wait for a revision after I mentioned AllBoard.
A cheaper colour, Grass instead of Blum hinges, loose packing, etc.
    Thanks,

Got the final go ahead on buying tools and pre-edged Melamine from Bunnings.
I've been asked to have a fair go one cabinet at a time.
    Thanks,

Great, it's about time you stopped talking about it and got stuck in and built them
If you are making a plinth base for the cabinets to sit on rather than use plastic feet and clip on kick boards, you'll get to practice your cutting technique before you get to the visible parts.

    Not just moisture resistant.
    Highly Moisture Resistant!

    LOL
Planning so much my hands were starting to hurt.
And getting frustrated overtime something new came up.
We had to make a move or I was gonna move out!
    LOL

Yes. The kick board to hide the 2x4 platform on top of the carpet.
Depends on how far the carpet sinks with weight on it.

I'll be making it up as I go along.
I expect the kkckboards to be last.

the carpet is almost certainly attached to a nail board at the walls, which won't sink when the weight of the cabinet lands on it -- which in turn will tip the whole construction fowards.
Best solution is to remove the carpet from under the plinth.

next best is to shim the plinth so the front is at the same height as the rear -- or fractionally higher.

how thick is that nail board/tack strip?

    Nevermind:
"...usually 4 feet long by 1 inch wide..."

so just pull back the 2x4 (45mmx90mm) base support say 2" (50mm) from the walls.

If you use cupboard feet (cheap) you won't have that problem and can build directly on the carpet. Saves having to recarpet if you remove the cupboards in the future.

Either feet or 2x4 support frame like this?

The view is from the bottom.
The cabinets are wall to wall.

the support frame is pulled back 70 mm from the wall.
    20mm is base board.
    50mm is tack board clearance.

The kick board is pulled out for illustration purposes. So we can see the frame.

Now that I've seen this, I'm wondering if I should fix the back panels to the studs in the wall, the end side panels to the wall and the inner side panels to each other?

And if I use feet I'd have to redesign the bottoms for the full width and depth.
