    Default Strange Plane found on eBay (Rotaplane)

    I recently came across a strange interchangeable blade plane on eBay and wondered if anyone can throw some light on where it comes from and when it might have been made. Construction is aluminium and plastic, with wood handles.
    The box has a patent number 799561 but I haven't been able to find this on any of the patent searches I have done.
    Any information would be gratefully received.

    Can you post some better pictures of the box and any printed matter?

    I reviewed USPTO's database back to the late 50's and didn't see any handplane patents from any country for which they have data bearing any similarity to what you have.
