I too am very lucky to have a SWMBO (I use the term jokingly) who is a partner in all ways rather than an opponent. She fully supports my WW hobby, although she reserves the right to question how many chisels a man really needs. As part of renovating our home we are building a large garage/shed that will be my new workshop, and she also wants to use it to make stuff. I can't wait to get it built so I can get my tools in there and start using them.

It was really nice to hear so many positive stories. I have been married for 12418 days on Sunday and in all that time I have bought a few tools I regretted but I have never regretted getting married to my old mate. I only wish more men could say the same thing - and all women too.

I know I often joke about "having to clear it with the missus" (even though I've only been married five months, though we've been together five years) like she's an obstacle, but in reality she's supportive and understanding and we have a very fair and balanced relationship. She will rarely say no. At worst she'll ask me to sleep on it and think about whether it's something I actually need (I have a history of impulse buying and getting into debt) or suggest we can't afford it just now and that I wait a few months.
