Default saw table for circular saw - any good?

    Morning!
I have seen a saw table which allows you to attatch your circular saw beneath and so create a table saw.The table looks pretty stable, but iam wondering about the general safety of the thing.
Can i widen the gap so the saws own safety cover can be used?
    any views welcome

    cheers

Post a picture of it and maybe we can answer. It's not a Triton is it?

Well it certainly isn't a Triton.

I would think it would ruin the table and the other thing you would end up with a very wide gap which could be more dangerous with pieces of timber dropping down the gap and jambing the saw thus with the possibility of pulling your hand into the saw.

If that is the way you want to go I would be thinking about a Triton Table.

    Have a look here.

Default Something you won't often read - safety is a

continuum - not an absolute. So for some cuts, the sawtable will be safer than just using the circular saw. I would suspect a tabletop tablesaw is always safer than a sawtable, just not as inexpensive.
