Thread: End table design question.

Greetings all, this is my first post. If I am in the wrong area for the subject or I missed where this question is already answered I apologize and respectfully request to be pointed in the right direction.

I am designing two end tables. I want to have a full width, slide out, tray on each. My problem is when my fat cat eventually jumps up on the extension (when out). Can someone help me calculate whether or not my wifes 20 Lb cat will turn my 2' x 2' table in to a lamp launching cat-apult if I have a 1.5' extension out. 2'x2' is a rough guess I will have the specific measurements tonight. I'm considering Oak tops and simple tapered legs. The height should be about 30".
