Default Thickness Sander service Fawkner VIC

    Hi,
Can anyone suggest a place where I could get a laminated board (1 metre long x225mm wide) thickness sanded (not planed) to 16mm in the Coburg / Fawkner area of Melbourne. Timbers are Sydney Blue Gum and Tassie Oak (laminated strips).

Currently this board is around 20mm.
    Any help appreciated.
    Michael

Give local joineries in your area a ring . It shouldn't cost anymore than $50 to get done.
I make things, I just take a long time.

    Hi waldo,
    Thanks for your quick response.

I have tried a few places in the area, but most seem to have equipment geared up
for working with chipboard and don't want to run any hardwoods thru because of
    'blunting' or damaging their cutters.

Maybe its a fob off and they couldn't be bothered.

Michael, i have a perfomax 22/44 pro and i live in preston, thing is i have burnt my last roll of sand paper, if your not in a great rush your welcome to run it through the performax when i get some more paper (next week or so), normally i use 40/60 grit to get the thing down to final dimension and finish using a RO sander, the finer stuff seems to burn to quick...
