Thicknesser Needed for a once off job
Hi all, I am making a book case and was using a dodgy biscuit cutter. As a result I have to run each if the pieces through a thicknesser because the pieces dont line up. Does anyone know of somewhere you can go and pay to use one for half an hour or so or does anyone know any other way I could get the job done?
Thanks

When using a biscuit joiner, you have to make sure you are lining up the boards with the slots cut on the same plane otherwise if you flip a board, chances are it wont sit flush with its mate. You may find the local timber mill may be able to thickness it for you or check out if you have a local woodworking club.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

Have you glued it up yet?
If not, do it again but re-mark and cut in different positions.Kev

You could do this using hand planes. Could take a long time depending on the sharpness of the blades.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will get in touch with Tweed Valley group.
Glad I found this forum. I think kit will be a great source of info and discussion.
Thanks again

As KevM said, fill the slots and re-cut your slots in the correct position.
