    Default Timbecon 20" thicknesser

Timbecon has a sale on their thicknessers in May. The 20" model looks identical to the carbatec. Has anyone used either of these before? Any good?

The 20" spiral head 3 phase machine is 4099 - anyone know what the regular price is or is this not sale price? (the single phase straight knife version sales previous price)

Anyone have tips or know of any adjustments which can be made to reduce snipe? It seems to have more then the old robland combo machine I have. FYI this machine is identical to the carbatec one and looks essentially the same as the powermatic. I think its also very similar to the 15" version just wider.

Just to elaborate - it feels like the rollers push down too hard. I have to push down on the back of the board when feeding in. On exit I havent really been doing anything but I notice when the last piece goes through it kicks up upon exiting quite a bit.

Can you adjust the rollers on the bottom? Personally, I gave up on playing with snipe and do the last couple of passes on a sander.

Have you asked Timbecon if that's where you ended up buying it from?

I think I saw something in the manual about rollers. I'll have a look at it. Can adjusting the rollers effect how level it is? ATM there is 0.1mm difference in thickness between the left and right of the machine - hope I can achieve that if I adjust it!
