What Timber is This?
IMG_3654.jpg
I made this small box out of some timber given to me and some huon pine. Can anyone tell me what it is?
Cheers
Mike

One of the She Oaks. My guess would be either Bulloak or Hairy Oak.

The old man callled stuff like that “scrub oak” definitely some sort of casuarina.

I'll put my money on Allocasuarina luehmannii - buloke or bull-oak, Bulloake ... as it has the quite visible and tell tale scribbly background. Hairy Oak does not have that.
