    Default A Tough One to Write

    We just returned from Maryland a couple days ago. We laid my Dad to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on August 30th after having lost him on July 26th. He was my mentor in everything, including woodworking, so you're reading the words of one very broken-hearted boy.

    This is one of my lengthier posts, but I wanted to share a sampling of Dad's woodworking. He wasn't active in the online community aside from browsing the occasional forum from time to time.

    The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

    Sorry to hear you lost your Dad Pete.
    I was really pleased you decided to share his work with us.
    Thanks for sharing.
    By the work he did it is obvious he loved what he did and it was loved by his family.

    I will have to keep clear of my saws and chisels for a while. The salt in tears makes them rust.
