Default Transfer or Carbon Paper Supplies

    Hi,

Looking for a supplier in Australia (Perth if possible) for large sheets of Transfer or Carbon Paper (60cms wide, etc) for tracing large patterns onto plywood.

Does anyone else use this method?

Is there a difference between Transfer and Carbon papers?

    Bill

The Art shed in Brisbane sell transfer paper, rolls about 30 cm wide. Check their website.
Possibly have wider available, you'd have to call them to find out.

Transfer paper can be erased, Carbon paper can't be erased.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

Excuse my ignorance, but how does this work?

Can I apply it to the plywood then put the pattern over it and trace to leave a mark on the plywood?

Office stationary supply stores usually have both "carbon" paper (greasy) as well as "graphite" paper (which can be erased.)

I use 100cm wide white paper sold in 100' rolls as cheap table coverings on banquet hall tables.
Then I scribble artist's graphite pencil all over one side. A sort of DIY fix that I can go over to darken my transferred lines.
