Treasure or trash?
Picked up four at the mill, $.50 each, 1"X8"X7' rough.
How do you know when there are too many worm holes?
There are maybe thirty or forty more. I have to go pick up my
boards later this week and may get some more of these.

well now you can make some antique (sorry reproduction) farmhouse furniture
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .

$30- worth of casting resin and a simple frame to make 'em into a plank table, which you could throw into a gallery with a price tag involving several 0's, to enhance the homes of those with more dollars than sense.
There's nice colour in the timber though.

I think $30 of casting resin per board will be more realistic. Then there is the endless pain scraping and sanding the excess off.
Or just sell the boards to skew for a couple of grand.Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com

If he mailed 'em down to me I'd happily go bug hunting... making the li'l buggers dizzy on the lathe.
No scraping required.

Thanks for all the input.
I am going to make clocks from them. Better than making
boats??
They were milled about a year ago and there are no bugs now.
They are wet because I took the pressure washer to them to get
the mold off.
These four boards will make six clocks.
Here is a clock from some old roof decking.
And another:

Rustic is one thing, and the clocks look fine, but the air/timber ratio on those "new" boards might be a bit high I think.
The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Na think he was a point. Once saw a bit of offcut waxed up and had some rusty fence wire twisting out of it with a candle stuck in the loop, in a fancy shop in South Yarra Melbourne. Wanted 30 bucks for it.

With all those ho;es Papa the clocks will be light weight. Not so much need for expensive. heavy duty hanging devices.
