You are correct, water runs DOWN over here. If you turn a glass upside down, it ends up on the floor. Not like in your part of the world
...ps welcome to the madhouseIf at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

It spins the right way down here and the wrong way up there.
That's why we don't get very much snow down here, the water gets away easily but it goes around in circles so much in the north that it just vaporises into snow.

About every 20 thousand years the earths electro magnetic field does a flip and the water will change direction in each hemisphere.
If you look carefully you can see the directional patina in your pancakes that is if your frying pan is dead level.

Down here, up there, they are all myths spread by misguided fools years ago, just because Northern Hemisphere had cartographers before the Southern Hemisphere.
Evereyone knows that the piece of string which stops us falling off the edge of the universe goes through Tasmania, which explains a lot.
That oughta gat a bite.Boring signature time again!

There are regional variations in the water down here. This link explains it (and may also explain Silent C!)

well bart, first things first, G'day and welcome to the forums. Second thing's second, we don't know what way the water spins down here (or for Lucas...up here ) because we don't have much water to waste, so we only wash our hands once a month to conserve this precious liquid. We also only flush the toilet once a fortnight.
Hope that my insight has been helpfull.
Nik.
