    FYI
    I just checked.
The Veritas Round Spokeshave at $144 is the price in USD, not CAD.

Searches from Australia for Lee Valley tools default to the US website. I haven't checked more closely, but suspect that even if looking at stock in the Calgary store from outside Canada, the price defaults to USD.

Being a frequent visitor to Calgary over the past 9 years, you would be surprised at the number of women shopping for woodworking related stuff at the Calgary store and the number of blokes shopping for cooking and gardening stuff ...

LV started selling gardening tools because the sales of woodworking tools fell off in the summer months. I think the hardware and books came before and then they added cooking stuff for similar reasons and finally adding the toys, games and other miscellaneous goodies at Christmas. Don't hold me to that because I have been shopping with them since the late 70s.
